Wow. Picked this little diddy up from Zach Lind at Finding Rhythm. I'm stunned. How could someone mix the image of a gun capable of putting 800 bullets in a person when only one would do the trick with the image of the all loving and knowing God? Obviously it's a metaphor for spiritual warfare, but I struggle there too because too many people make too big a deal out of it in my opinion. Yes, there is an Evil One, and yes he stands opposed to pretty much everything we hold true, but is our entire faith meant to be a struggle?
Anyway, I don't like the idea of mixing these images. Any thoughts?
